Alice Blankenship

Alice Blankenshipis a native Oregonian, who makes her living playing classical violin with Eugene Symphony, Oregon Mozart Players, and the Oregon Bach Festival; baroque violin with the Oregon Bach Festival, as well as free-lancing and teaching. Alice has a Doctorate and Bachelor of Arts degree in music from the University of Oregon, a Master of Music degree from San Francisco Conservatory, and a Diploma of Early Music Performance Practice from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague, the Netherlands. Alice grew up dancing and singing in the Junction City Scandinavian Festival, and a few years ago started putting this fun music under her violin fingers. She plays folk music, especially from Scandinavia, as often as possible! When she’s not practicing or teaching, she enjoys hiking in the woods, dancing, gardening, spending time with family, and conversing with her flock of backyard ducks.
