Music has always been a part of Kelly’s life, playing piano, 4 string plectrum, banjo and singing with a local community choir. She and her husband have played with several Dixieland Jazz groups. About 12 years ago she picked up the fiddle and was quickly brought under the wing of many local players who mentored her. She was invited to an Oregon Oldtime Fiddlers’ jam – “and the rest is history”. Kelly and Scott live in Roseburg, Oregon. They have 4 children, 11 grandchildren, and have attended West Cascades Fiddle Camp the last four years, along with a couple of their grandkids. Recently retired as an instructional assistant at an elementary school where she worked for 17 years, she looks forward to more fiddling time, more jam sessions, and definitely more Fiddle Camps!
